ABSTRACT

The main types of compounds regarded as systemic factors influencing molecular and biochemical processes in the connective tissue are: a) Hormones – the regulatory (signaling) molecules of varying chemical nature, which are produced by specialized cells found in the endocrine glands and by certain types of cells scattered in various tissues, and released into the bloodstream and transported throughout the body to the target cells on they exert their influence. The effects caused by hormones are diverse and differ in various types of connective tissue.
