ABSTRACT
BiomechanicsIn ancient Greek language, βίος means “life” and μηχανική means “mechanics”. The two words combined to form εμβιομηχανική meaning “biomechanics” in the modern Greek language. Biomechanics is the study of the structure and function of biological systems such as humans, animals, plants, organs, and cells by means of the methods of mechanics.
