ABSTRACT
The resistance R is called the ground resistance of the object. It plays a major role in the ability of the object to attain charges on its surface. For metallic equipment near or on the ground surface, the equipment must be grounded through an object with low ground resistance to ensure that anyone who comes in contact with the surface of the equipment is not exposed to excessively charged object with high potential.
