ABSTRACT
Communication is a huge topic, and there are many very good books available on
the subject.
This purpose of this chapter is to raise awareness of the issues around
communicating with patients and consider some of the ways by which we can
improve our skills to enable us to become more effective communicators and thereby
improve our patient care.
