ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we will examine three cases involving cop-killers aged forty-five to forty-nine. The cases include:

• Wesley Davis, who murdered an officer who confronted him during a domestic disturbance

• Victor Bigman, who killed an officer who tried to arrest one of his sons for domestic violence

• George Hitcho, Jr., who killed an officer investigating a disturbance between neighbors

This group shows a continued increase in the use of drugs and alcohol as a contributing factor that led to the death of police officers involved in confrontation with these subjects. Domestic disturbances were the primary triggers for confrontations with these offenders.
