ABSTRACT
Mining engineering is an engineering discipline that involves the practice, the theory, the science, the technology and the application of extracting, hauling (sometimes dumping) and processing minerals from a naturally occurring environment. Mining engineering also comprises the processing of minerals for additional value. Thus, in mining engineering the points of interest are the identified processes and their properties and also the properties of objects, understood here in a broad sense.
