ABSTRACT
In this chapter we discuss two classes of operators important for iterative algorithms, the averaged operators and the paracontractive operators.
The term ‘averaged operator’ appears in the work of Baillon, Bruck and Reich [35, 9]. There are several ways to define averaged operators. One way is suggested by Lemma 6.2.
