Additional questions regarding upbringing of the horse, course of training, type of use and previous ownership may also provide valuable clues as to which mistakes or deficits led to the behavior. Knowledge of whether the aberrant or unwanted behavior was acquired through events during juvenile development or later in life is of great importance for therapy and prognosis.
