Logic Programming as a Data Mining Technique

In Chapter 7, we discussed various data mining techniques. One of the techniques we mentioned was inductive logic programming which has evolved from logic programming. Since this topic is of particular interest to us, as we have conducted research in logic programming (see, for example, [THUR90a]), we give special attention to inductive logic programming and data mining in this chapter.
