ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION Until now we solved all our problems by writing either the nodal or the mesh equations. If the network had independent current sources and voltage controlled current sources, we used nodal formulation. If it had voltage sources and current controlled voltage sources, we used mesh equations without modifications. In all other cases we had to resort to preprocessing which sometimes lead to redrawing of the figures. We also discovered that if the network had capacitors as well as inductors, we were unable to avoid fractions of the type 1/s, no matter which formulation we used.
