ABSTRACT
Cladding systems may be pre-attached to the module, or installed as separate elements on site. In both cases, the connection between the modules may be concealed or emphasised as part of the detailing of the cladding. The features of the various types of cladding and their influence on the design of the modules are presented in this chapter. In precast concrete modules, the external face of the module may be finished in the factory, as described in Chapter 15.
