ABSTRACT
Once the overall design is settled a decision is needed on the structure of the construction contracts. The options range from a turnkey contract where all the consulting engineer or owner has to do – in theory at least – is to the sign a contract, review designs and observe construction, through to a number of individual contracts coordinated and managed by the consulting engineer.
