ABSTRACT

Microwave integrated circuit (MIC) technology is an extension of integrated circuit (IC) technology to UHF and microwave range. Microwave assemblies form the major part of MIC technology. These assemblies greatly vary in complexity and may be of monolithic or hybrid nature. The MIC technology mainly encompasses (i) planar transmission lines and coplanar microstrip lines, (ii) photolithography and thin-film techniques and (iii) microwave semiconductor (SC) devices.
