ABSTRACT

Fashion retail supply chain management is a critically important topic. In this concluding chapter, we first present a concise summary of the core managerial insights and implications generated by the analyses discussed in the book. After that, we propose some probable extensions of themodels. In particular, extending the efficient consumer response systems to the fast fashion systems will be an important and promising area for future study. Finally, we discuss a few areas that have not been covered in the book thus far, which include category captainship, risk management, technology-operations interfaces, sustainability, and mass customization, for future research on fashion retail supply chain management.
