ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: The performance of a helicoidal flow jet flocculator depends upon the residence time, slope of wall, position of the outflow section, water depth in the basin, etc. The way these parameters interplay in the removal of turbidity from water has been investigated experimentally. Certain indices, computed from numerical simulation of flow, are useful to assess the behavior of a flocculation basin.
