ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: CRS-1 River Sedimentation Numerical Model is developed mainly for water and sediment routing of mountain rivers in nature or on the effects of human activities. The hydraulics of flow, full sediment transport including bed load and suspended load, and the associated river processes are simulated for a given flow period. In order to simulate the pebble bed load transport in Southwestern China, the model is capable to simulate the change processes of the armor coat layer on the surface of riverbed. The model was verified rigorously by field data and laboratory experimental data. Field studies of the model includes clean water sour of channels downstream of a dam, sediment deposit and capacity recover of reservoirs, designs for bank protection of flood control dykes.
