ABSTRACT
Momentum is [nearly] as important as energy. Through consideration of momentum we shall finally be able to throw off the shackles restricting us to the analysis of single particles [and isolated particles within simple systems]. Furthermore, the “momentum point of view” will prove to be invaluable as we model the effective dynamics of more complicated systems of particles and rigid bodies.
