ABSTRACT

Additional comments J waves (also known as ‘Osborn waves’) are visible in lead V4.

1. This ECG shows atrial fibrillation with J waves, also known as Osborn waves. The J wave is a small positive deflection seen at the junction between the QRS complex and the ST segment and is usually best seen in the inferior limb leads and the lateral chest leads (in this case the J waves are most clearly seen in lead V4). The corrected QT interval is prolonged at 472 ms.
