ABSTRACT
The text, as mentioned earlier, will deal first with properties of solids that are not, primarily, a function of their subdivision. In essence they may be considered the properties of an infinitely large slab of the solid. Later chapters will deal with properties that are a function of the subdivision of the solid (e.g., particle size).
