ABSTRACT
In the early stages of a project, the type of gate is selected and the costs of its manufacture, transportation and erection are estimated. The gate weight directly affects the capacity of the hoisting equipment, and the final cost of supply is generally estimated on the basis of the total weight of the equipment, of which the weight of the gate is the biggest portion.
