ABSTRACT

The purpose of this chapter is to develop the basic theory of Fourier series. The idea underlying a Fourier series is to represent an arbitrary function f(x), defined for −π ≤x ≤ π, as a trigonometric series of the form f ( x ) = 1 2 a 0 + ∑ n = 1 ∞ ( a n cos n x + b n sin n x ) . https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780429187483/fa12fecb-bf1b-4d64-928e-c1b02366a23e/content/unequ16_774_1.tif"/>
