ABSTRACT
Concrete pavement design is often thought of solely in terms of thickness, but there are other important design elements. These include the type and spacing of joints (if any)—both transverse joints for JPCP and longitudinal joints for all pavement types. The design of the drainage system has been discussed previously in Chapter 5.
