ABSTRACT
As said above, the construction of a light-emitting diode is dierent from that of a normal signal diode. An LED junction does not in point of fact emit much light. Also, a considerable portion of light is lost by absorption in the LED material producing heat, and does not succeed in coming out of the LED. erefore, special measures have to be adopted to minimize this loss of light.
