ABSTRACT
On October 6, 1983 our delegation was on an airplane flying from Hong Kong to Beijing. The background of this was that at the beginning of 1979, Lewis Rutherfurd, our partner and manager of Solarex’s Hong Kong operation, called me and said that he had received enquiries from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) that a delegation would like to visit Solarex in the USA. I told him we would be very glad to see them and asked when they were planning to come. He said I should send him an invitation for them and he was going to let me know when they would like to visit Solarex.
