ABSTRACT
In Chapter 18, an introduction to the concept of simulation optimization was presented. To implement the concept of simulation optimization in various research studies, the authors in the existing literature have used various techniques. Although the optimization techniques for simulation optimization are not limited to the optimization techniques described in this chapter, a brief introduction to the various techniques used in the existing literature is necessary. The optimization techniques that have been applied to simulation optimization highlight the gap in research in this area in terms of their applications.
