ABSTRACT
The study of probability distributions is important for the study of simulation and the related software. As we all know, simulation study basically imitates the existing practical scenarios for the problems in various elds of study. Now, all the practical problems in real life involve uncertainties. These uncertainties may lie in the various aspects of a problem. The uncertainty lying within a problem can be handled in many ways. The existing literature shows at least three basic methods of dealing with the problems of uncertainty: application of probability theory, application of possibility theory, and application of fuzzy logic. Among these three methods, the theory of probability is basically used in all simulation software. This chapter discusses the various aspects and applications of various probability distributions.
