ABSTRACT

The previous chapter described upper bounds for the probability of the occurrence of two sets of events. In this chapter, we extend the bounding methods in two new directions. The first focus is on multivariate inequalities, upper bounds of the probability of the occurrence for any number of event sets. If two sets of events are of interest, the bounds return to bivariate upper bounds, as discussed in the previous chapter.
