ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with some common summaries of low income in a country that complement the poverty rate. First we discuss summaries that weigh the extent of shortage, then summaries that are concerned entirely with income inequality, and conclude with summaries motivated by the exploration of the weights in Section 1.4.
