ABSTRACT
Concrete changes its volume with time. The magnitude and rate of the change depend on the relative humidity of the environment and the applied stress as well as the properties of the concrete. Time-dependent volume changes are easier to understand if we consider them in only one direction and in an environment of constant stress and relative humidity.
