ABSTRACT
Among the simplest applications of Schro¨dinger ’s time-independent equation for stationary states are the problems pertaining to the motion of a particle in the presence of potential steps. In the present chapter we shall consider the following problems:
(a) Motion of a particle across a potential step of finite height and infinite extent.
