Nanomaterials have a wide range of emerging applications in biomedical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnological elds including biosensors, biomarkers, cancer therapy, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) delivery systems, drug-delivery systems, enzyme immobilization, gene delivery, tissue engineering, and as probes for confocal and electron microscopy [1].
