ABSTRACT
The models presented in Chapter 4 can be generalised to account for individuals moving between different sites. This is particularly important for bird species and other animals that might, for example, migrate between different colonies. The models which are described here can also be used to model transitions between states, for example breeding or non-breeding, and the terms multisite and multistate are used interchangeably throughout this chapter.
