ABSTRACT
The technology of semisolid deformation or thixotropic deformation has rapidly developed in the last 40 years. This is evidenced by regular biennial conferences on semisolid processing, where leading research centers from Europe, the United States, Japan, China, and Republic of Korea present the results of fundamental studies and technological developments.
