ABSTRACT

The application-related material production, gas absorption and gas-liquid reaction were introduced. The flow characteristics of micro-bubbles in reactor were examined by using the cocurrent upflow bubble column. When millibubbles coexist with dispersed microbubbles, microbubbles disappear. The volumetric mass transfer coefficient is higher for microbubbles than for millbubbles, but the mass transfer coefficient is much lower for the former than for the latter. The installation of draft tube enhanced the mass transfer and decomposition performance. The design guides of bubble column-type reactor for the enhancement in mass transfer and decomposition performance are decided.
