ABSTRACT

Consider medical science. Checking a person up from out-

side, feeling his pulse or listening to the nature of his cough

— it is quite possible to diagnose certain diseases and even

treat them. However could a doctor be satisfied with just

that? He cannot and indeed he should not. He needs to

know the details of the mechanism working inside a hu-

man body — from the location of the brain or the liver to

the functioning of the lungs — only then would he be able

to treat a serious condition.
