The reader who is familiar with the notion of conditional expectation may skip this chapter or look through it, and use it for reference.
We consider here conditional expectations at three levels. The representation in Section 1 has some lack of generality, but it is relatively short and sufficient for many applications. Since the approach of this section is traditional for introductory probability courses, we present it first.
