ABSTRACT

One of the key factors in having an efficient program governance framework is the optimum organization and structuring of the program’s governance team. The roles and entities for governance and the governance reporting structure may differ from organization to organization, and the type of initiatives that have to be governed. The structure needs to be designed carefully while keeping all the factors in perspective in order to fulfill the governance needs of the program. The governance structure should support the program and facilitate delivery. It should not add additional layers of mindless bureaucracy that result in delayed decisions and subsequent actions.
