ABSTRACT
The rapidly growing 3D holographic imaging systems in airports have created significant potential in ambient diagnostics. Current devices operate using a millimeter wave transceiver to reflect the signal of the human body.260 The scanner creates a 3D point cloud around the body. As the millimeter wave signal cannot penetrate the skin,
a 3D human surface can be generated. Figure 13.2 shows the scanner in operation at the Amsterdam Airport.
