ABSTRACT
Unfortunately, the restricted battery power of mobile devices has a serious impact on users’ experiences. e amount of energy that can be stored in a typical battery is increasing by only 5% annually [1]. Although there are other factors
of importance, energy consumption is one of the most fundamental issues that should be carefully considered by all MSN applications and services. e focus of this chapter is research and applications related to energy-efficient MSN schemes, which are shown in Figure 7.1.
