ABSTRACT
Sustainable building design is one of the major challenges of current planning and construction. Our built environment causes a large part of energy and resource flows. Despite major development, such as Building Information Modelling, the AEC industry is still fragmented. This has been observed as an obstacle for the economic performance of this sector. Furthermore, computer-support has been identified as remedy for this situation (Howard et al. 1989, Bédard 2006).
