ABSTRACT

The energy performance analysis of buildings becomes more and more important in the last years. Thereby, the analysis is increasingly based on physical calculation models like thermal energy simulations. Although there even exist BIM-based simulation tools the integration of the energy analysis in the design phase is a complex process including the filtering, extending and linking of the BIM model. While on the one side the simulation of the energy performance enables detailed studies about the building behaviour under specific circumstances on the other side it is time-consuming and requires not insignificant computing capacity. In contrast to this, energy analyses based on statistic calculation models used in standards like the EnEV provide the advantage, that their application is time-and resource-saving; but the quality of their results is rough.
