ABSTRACT
It has been frequently argued that decisions taken during the early design stage have a significant influence on buildings’ energy performance (Domeshek et al. 1994). Bogenstätter (2000) suggests that the initial design stage has the highest potential to influence subsequent construction and operation costs.
