ABSTRACT
In the last chapter we concluded Section II, which was the people portion of this book. In this chapter we will begin Section III of this book and discuss the topic of strategy. In The Innovative Lean Enterprise, we explored the topic of strategy and innovation in great detail. That book included a strategy transformation process that illustrated the detailed steps of depicting the current strategy in detail. The book then illustrated a step-by-step strategy transformation process that produced an optimized future-state strategy. The current and future strategies were depicted in a visual strategy map. In Section III, we will review some of the aspects of strategy taken from The Innovative Lean Enterprise and include various other techniques and discussions. This will include both a qualitative and a quantitative level of thinking.
