ABSTRACT

In the last chapter we learned about visual branding. We created and introduced the branding icon, which contained four distinct quadrants of branding. Along the upper left quadrant was the “first-to” (1st) symbol. We learned that successful brands are those brands that were the first to create a perception in the mind of the consumer regarding a word or concept within the category in which the brand competes. In this chapter, we will discuss more about what it means being first in a particular category.
