ABSTRACT

This chapter is aimed at a reader who has some experience in operating an nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometer ‘out of automation mode’ to record 1H and 13C NMR spectra but is not an NMR specialist, and who now has a need to run the NMR spectra of ‘inorganic’ nuclei as heteroatoms either in organic compounds or in organometallic or inorganic molecules. Tables 5.1 and 5.2 list the types of information accessible via NMR spectroscopic studies of inorganic nuclei together with information not accessible and some limitations.
