When striving for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule compliance, keep all the information in the previous chapters in mind. To make your eorts a little easier to keep track of, use the following checklist (Exhibit 11.1) to identify the HIPAA activities you have fullled and those that you still need to address. To help you determine specic regulatory requirements, the corresponding location within the regulatory text is noted, and the wording from within the text has been preserved as much as possible, with some modication for clarication.
