Inspection and testing technologies are those tests that give results that can be used for acceptance criteria but are not normally used for trending. Most tests in this category can be classified as a go/no-go test (i.e., the equipment either passes or fails the test). In both instances, the sustainability of the equipment can be measured and appropriate actions taken. Those actions collectively define the stewardship of the equipment and the facility where the equipment is used.
