ABSTRACT

Taxonomic verification of the field biological samples was continuous with the highest level of consistency through time. The team assembled for these studies included workers who remained with the project for periods ranging from years to decades. The head of the field program operated over the active period of field collections. In this way, the data taken were consistent with the effort to make intersystem comparisons over periods descriptive of interannual variation. Statistical methods used over the 43-year period of study are described in Appendix B. These methods were developed with respect to the various experimental and field descriptive methods used in the various study areas. Modeling efforts were established in ways that were consistent with the questions and sampling efforts associated with individual projects.
