j disease (chronic cholecystitis or acute cholecystitis) or acute acalculous cholecysti­ tis. Cholangiography may be done in selective cases. In general, the indications for cholangiography include choledocholithiasis, dilated common bile duct, recent gallstone pancreatitis without preoperative ERCP, or confusion about the anatomical orientation intraoperatively.
