ABSTRACT
In this chapter we will closely follow our exposition of abstract rings in Chapters 6 and 7. We first prove a theorem about arithmetic in an abstract group, quite similar to Theorem 6.1. We then introduce the idea of subgroup, which is quite analogous to the corresponding idea subring. Finally, we will introduce group isomorphisms.
